
Are you an adult basketball player looking to improve your fitness and your on-court performance? Join Mark and Yankie from MyHoops for a comprehensive basketball fitness program, combining strength work and basketball instruction for adults. This session is all about flow: it's not just “half basketball, half strength”, but instead will flow seamlessly and intentionally between the weights and the court
Each session will begin on the court with a basketball-based warm-up that also prepares the body for power and strength work. From there, we’ll work on strong movement patterns like powerful hinges, solid overhead pressing, and fast force production from the ground up. Everything is built to translate directly to players move on the court.
The basketball portion will use structured High-Intensity Training formats like AMRAPs and EMOMs to keep the intensity high, the pace flowing, and the skill work competitive and engaging. We'll structure the time in the weight room around muscle-building and conditioning that supports the demands of basketball: strength, durability, and overall athletic performance.
The goal is one cohesive session where basketball and strength complement each other, not compete with each other, and everything has a purpose that shows up in the game.
